Welcome to "In the Middle with Mr D"! Most of the videos on this channel are intended as supplemental materials for S-Cubed Sight Singing Program for Beginners. I created it as a 21st Century way to help teachers improve how they teach sight singing to their young, beginning middle school students so that the kids AND the teacher have fun and are successful with each step of the learning process. I couldn’t get any of the publishing companies to hear me so I did it on my own. There are tons of books out there, but I found that none of them covered the pedagogy that works for young beginners. Here, you'll find video teaching tips and teaching examples for specific lessons. Many videos are unlisted. Access to all videos can be acquired by purchasing the program.
