Open Door Records invests in talented new artists and bands, cutting through the barriers of entry to a music industry career. Founded in 2013 by three non-industry businessmen, ODR believes that artists, be they singer/songwriters or bands, flourish best when retaining overall artistic control of their output. Since our inception ODR has sourced its artists both from applications to perform at open mics and showcase events run under our trading style of 'London Open Mic' and by various other means. Through our ever expanding network of industry contacts ODR has placed artists with pre-production teams for mentoring and assessment of suitability for investment. (Mentoring does not reduce artistic control; it is used to assist artists in achieving the standard in both performance and production required of a commercial released product/artist). For artists selected during the process album or project investment together with publishing label liaison follows.
